eComStation Maintenance Tool 1.11.0

December 02, 2002 by Chuck McKinnis

eCS MT contains several important improvements and is the only currently supported level. From the ecsmt.txt file:

Build 1.11.0
Restructured the eCS MT fix directory structure to eliminate duplication and keep track of the date-time stamps and sizes of unzipped fix files for later use in determining the availability of updates.
Tested with eCS MT execution directory and eCS MT fix directory on CD.
The IBM Single Mouse driver will be applied (if present) as a part of the IBM Convenience Package FixPak 3 application.
Keep file name, time stamp, and size of all files unzipped with "Prepare Fix Directory" function in eCS MT fix directoryecsfixes.ini to allow for the removal of the unzipped updates from the eCS MT fix directory. PLEASE BACKUP UNLESS YOU REALLY LIKE TO DOWNLOAD.
The "Prepare Fix Directory" function only creates update directories (see the note on the handling of Serenity Systems update file).
The eCS control directory will always be created as a temporary directory. The Serenity Systems update files will be extracted as needed. Selecting an eCS MT control directory is no longer an option.
Provide "commit" processing for fixpacks and other selected updates.
Correct error in setting up archive and backup directories.
A major change in the presentation of selections.
