enigmail-0.95.3 for OS/2

August 20, 2007 by Walter Meinl

++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service ++

From: Walter Meinl

I've compiled the new version of enigmail, you can get it from the site. There are no new features for us that I'm aware. However, it was a test for me, if it compiles cleanly after several OS/2 fixes were checked in between 0.95.2. Therefore, I want to encourage
every enigmail user to download and install the new version. For Seamonkey users, please uninstall the old version exit Seamonkey and manually delete Seamonkeycomponentsenigmime.dll before you install the new version. There is no automatic way to delete this dll as it is loaded at runtime by seamonkey.

A further thing I would be interested in is that I want to compile in the future only with gcc-3.3.5, if (and only if) there are no errors for users of "official" Thunderbird-2.0.x or Seamonkey-1.1.x versions. I don't see a
problem, but as the official versions are compiled with gcc-3.3.2 and use libc-0.51, there may be problems. So, users of official builds please test also the enigmail version compiled against libc-0.6.3 (you have to download
it from ) and test it if it works. Any OS/2 related problems to post here, please. For engimail related probs (not OS/2) there is also a well frequented mailing list you can post to.

Thanks and have fun
