Please test Internet Assistant!
March 26, 2003 by Roderick Klein
A fix version of the beta 4 of the Internet Assistant has yet been released. Please help us testing this as it is intended to pack this software into the upcoming release of eComStation V1.1. Because of that this next eCS version is just about to be packed together, we need your help urgently, and would like to ask you to send test and bug reports within the next few days.
Please download here:
The Internet Assistant is designed to configure the new dialer of the upcoming eCS version, eCSCoNet (former ISDNPM) as well as internet applications like Netscape and Mozilla. You just enter your provider related data, and Internet Assistant configures all supported applications directly, including e.g. installation of network protocol drivers that may be required for DSL conections.
If you don't own a license of the current ISDNPM dialer product, you require a test key. Please request one at no charge by sending mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, stating your full name and residence. Also the very latest version of ISDNPM is required for testing, please download from
Make sure that you run install.cmd of this package after having unpacked the application to its final directory and added the test key file.
Very important: please send us feedback both in case of error _and_ success.
For that please create an entry in the eComStation BugTracker (log on www.ecomstation.com and follow the link "Access BugTracker", select "Internet Assistant V1.10 beta4 ") and include the following information:
- attach the following files to the Bugtracker Record

- the name of the dialog where the trap occurrs
- include the trap address (like "INSTALL.EXE 00001:000145F")
Grab that address either from the trap popup or the
Note: the application can trap also in a lot other modules,
not only INSTALL.EXE
If for any reason you cannot add a BugTracker entry, you may also send direct mail to the author at email@example.com. BugTracker entries are nevertheless preferred.
