eCS Users and RSJ CD Writer
One of the special features of eComStation is the ability of the product to run from CD. That is, boot up and run the user's eCS desktop entirely from CD. Wouldn't it be great if eCS would provide users with the ability to burn their own CDs? Create personal eCS desktops on CD to take with them, providing the ability to convert any PC to "their
PC" just by running their personal eCS CD. Nothing needs to be installed on the hard drive!
Well, that's the way it's going to work. eCS provide users with the ability to create a CD to take to the PC store and test drive the PCs in stock .. running their own eCS desktop! Create "demo CDs" for friends, family, and colleagues.
To facilitate this capability, Serenity Systems has reached an agreement with RSJ Software to include a 30 day trial period of the RSJ CD Writer for OS/2 with the eCS GA product. This special edition of the RSJ product includes an "eCS Demo CD Creator". Even after the 30 day RSJ CD Writer trial expires, and other functions are disabled, eCS users will still be able to burn their Personal eCS CDs.
We, at Serenity Systems, believe this is a very important function. And we are grateful that RSJ has agreed to support eCS users with this functionality. As eCS goes into general distribution, RSJ will run a special promotional price on RSJ CD Writer for OS/2, available to eCS users.
Beginning with the general distribution of eCS and expiring on October 1, 2001, eCS users will be able to go to a special eCS order page on the RSJ web site (http://www.rsj.de) and order the RSJ CD Writer for OS/2 at the promotional price of $69(US). We encourage all eCS users to test out the RSJ product and participate in the promotional pricing before October 1.
We would like to thank the RSJ for their recognition and support of eCS users.
