Web Family Tree updated to version 1.9
August 10, 2016 by peter@pmoylan.org
Version 1.9 of WFT (web family tree) is now available from pmoylan.org/pages/os2/wft.html or ftp://ftp.pmoylan.org/software/wft_1.9.zip or from Hobbes. The source code is also available from these places.
Remark: some of the files in Hobbes incoming are several months old, so it's not clear whether the incoming directory is still being processed.
WFT is a CGI application for displaying family tree data on a web site. For an example of its output, see pmoylan.org/cgi-bin/wft.cmd To run it, you need to have a web server running. If you don't have your own internet domain, you can still run a private web server on the loopback connection. The WFT package also includes a utility to turn the whole tree into an HTML file, but that is less satisfactory because it produces very large files.
